Update Twitter via Adium
As web based communities grow so do the amount of instant messengers. A cool solution for this is to bring them all together into one comprehensive IM. This is where Adium comes in.
"Adium is a free and open source instant messaging application for Mac OS X. Adium can connect you to any number of messaging accounts on any combination of supported messaging services. Allowing you to chat with other people using those services."
A cool plugin for Adium is to update Twitter via an Adium IM. The plugin for Adium can be downloaded here.
The readme and setup details are here.
After downloading and installing go to Adium / Add Account and select microblog - Twitter. This will then allow you to type a Adium IM which will become your Tweet.
Adium 1.4 will have fully integrated Twitter functionality. But if you can not wait until then this seems to work.
